Every item we sell comes directly from licensed distributors and authorized importers — no gray market, no middlemen. We verify authenticity before listing and only stock products we can vouch for. If you ever have questions about a specific item, reach out and we will walk you through it.

We check packaging, manufacturer markings, and product details against known authentic examples before accepting any item into our inventory. For figures, this means inspecting paint quality, copyright stamps, and box art. For trading cards, we look for print quality and set-specific security features.

We source directly from licensed distributors in the US and authorized importers with established relationships in Japan and Asia. This gives us access to genuine products at competitive prices while ensuring every item traces back to an official manufacturer. Read more about how we built Pando.

No — never. Selling counterfeits is both illegal and a betrayal of the collector community we are building. If you ever receive an item and suspect it is not authentic, contact us immediately and we will make it right.

We do not offer pre-orders at this time. All items listed on Pando Market are in stock and ready to ship. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on any changes.

We do not currently offer drop notifications for limited edition items. Follow us on social media and check back regularly for new arrivals.

We treat your collectibles the way we would want our own shipped. Figures ship in their original boxes surrounded by bubble wrap inside a rigid outer box. Trading cards go into penny sleeves, then toploaders or card savers, and are padded in a bubble mailer or small box. We do not cut corners on packaging.

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx depending on package size, weight, and destination. You can choose your preferred carrier at checkout when multiple options are available. All orders include tracking.

Standard shipping typically takes 3-7 business days after your order ships. Expedited options are available at checkout. Processing time (packing and handing off to the carrier) is usually 1–2 business days.

We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is something we are actively working toward — join the Bamboo Club newsletter and you will be among the first to know when we expand.

If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund depending on availability. Damage during shipping is our problem to solve, not yours.

We offer a 30-day return window from the delivery date for most items in original condition and packaging. Trading cards are final sale — all sales are non-refundable once shipped.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return. We will send return instructions and, for defective items, a prepaid shipping label. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after we receive the item.

We do not do direct exchanges — the easiest path is to return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the item you want. This ensures both transactions are clean and you get the most accurate availability information. Questions? We are happy to help.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Stripe, our payment processor. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely. We do not store your full card details. See our Terms of Service for full payment details.

Our listed prices are fixed — we do not negotiate on individual items. The standing way to pay less is Pando Rewards: every order earns points that convert into store credit, and higher tiers earn at a higher rate. We also run periodic sales.

We run limited-time promotions, and Bamboo Club subscribers hear about sales before they go public. One promotional code applies per order — if more than one is available, the highest-value one wins and is applied for you. Store credit earned through Pando Rewards is separate: it is a way of paying rather than a discount, so it applies on top of any promotion already on the order.

Pando Rewards is our free loyalty program — every order earns points, and points convert into store credit you can spend on anything we sell. There is nothing to sign up for beyond having an account: points accrue automatically. As your yearly total grows you move up a tier ladder that earns at a higher rate. Points are earned automatically on every order, calculated on your order total after any discount and before shipping and tax. They appear in your account as pending while the order settles, then become available to redeem. Higher tiers earn at a multiplier on top of the base rate. You can see what an order will earn before you buy — the estimate shows on the product page and in your cart, and the rewards page has the current rate.

Points redeem as store credit at a fixed rate: 250 points = $5.00. Redemptions step in 250-point increments (250 → $5, 500 → $10, 750 → $15), and 250 points is the minimum you can redeem. Store credit is the only thing points convert into — we do not pay points out as cash. There is a worked example on the rewards page if you would rather see the whole path from order to credit.

Go to your rewards page, choose an amount, and redeem. The points convert to store credit immediately, and the credit sits on your account until you use it. Redeeming again adds to that same balance — redeem $5 and later $10 and you have one $15 balance, not two separate credits to apply. At checkout it is applied against your total as a form of payment — no code needed.

Points expire after 15 months of inactivity. Any earning or redeeming resets that clock, so an account that orders even once a year never loses anything. We email you 60 days and again 30 days before points are due to lapse, so it never happens silently. Store credit you have already redeemed never expires.

Yes. Guest orders earn points against the email address you checked out with, and you have 90 days from the order to claim them by creating an account with that same address. Once you do, the points move across automatically — no need to contact us. Your order confirmation email states the deadline; after 90 days, unclaimed points lapse.

Tiers qualify on a calendar year and carry over: reach a tier by December 31 and you keep it for all of the following year. A strong year is never wasted in December, and you are never demoted mid-year. Each tier earns at a higher multiplier than the one below it — the current tiers and thresholds are on the rewards page.

Yes. Store credit is not a discount code — it is a way of paying, so it applies on top of whatever promotion is already on your order. Discount codes themselves do not stack: one promotional code applies per order, and if more than one is available the highest-value one wins and is applied for you, so you are never worse off for having several.

Start with a budget of $50–150 and pick one character or franchise you genuinely love — that enthusiasm sustains a collection long-term. Good Smile Company produces two excellent entry-level lines: Nendoroids (around $60–80, chibi style, highly poseable) and figma (around $70–100, more realistic proportions). Both are widely available, have strong resale markets, and ship in protective packaging.

The four most active collectible categories right now are anime figures, Pokemon trading cards, sports cards, and vinyl art toys.

• Anime figures — Nendoroids, figma, and 1/7 scale statues — are driven by a global fanbase with consistent demand for popular series.
• Pokemon cards remain the highest-volume trading card category, with Base Set and modern sets like Mega Evolution commanding strong collector interest.
• Sports cards (NBA and NFL rookie cards especially) have a deep institutional collector base.
• Vinyl art toys bridge art collecting and pop culture, with broad crossover appeal.

Storage depends on whether you display or preserve. For display, UV-filtering acrylic cases protect against light fading while keeping dust off figures and graded cards. For preservation, keep items in their original boxes away from:

• Direct sunlight (fades paint and card ink)
• Humidity above 60% (warps card stock and degrades plastic)
• Temperature swings (causes paint to crack and boxes to warp)

Graded cards (PSA, CGC, BGS) come in hard plastic slabs that are already well protected — store upright in a cool, dry place. Never store paper collectibles in basements or attics where humidity fluctuates.

Scale figures are produced by premium manufacturers like Alter, Good Smile Company, and Kotobukiya. They are typically 1/7 or 1/8 scale (roughly 20–25cm tall), made from high-quality PVC or ABS plastic, and priced between $80–250+. Paint applications are detailed and precise.

Prize figures are lower-cost alternatives won from Japanese arcade machines or sold as budget merchandise — typically smaller, with simpler paint and softer sculpt detail. Manufacturers like Taito and Banpresto make the most common prize figures (retail $15–40). They make excellent starter pieces, but collector value and quality are significantly lower than scale figures.

The most effective protection for displayed figures is a closed acrylic display case — dust is the biggest long-term enemy of unboxed collectibles because it traps moisture and scratches paint during removal.

• Cards: Rigid toploaders (raw cards) or graded slabs protect against bending and surface damage.
• Figures in display: Closed acrylic cases, cleaned with a soft microfiber cloth — never paper towels.
• Boxed figures: Original packaging is good if stored upright in stable temperature, away from windows.

UV fading happens slowly and permanently — even indirect sunlight through a window degrades paint and card ink over months.

The most valuable Pokemon sets are Base Set (1999), Base Set 2, and Jungle/Fossil — cards in PSA 10 or BGS 10 condition command thousands of dollars for holofoils. The Base Set Charizard (1st Edition shadowless) is the most iconic card in the hobby, with PSA 10 copies selling for $300,000+.

Among modern sets, Mega Evolution and Crown Zenith have produced several high-value pulls. Sealed product (booster boxes, elite trainer boxes) from discontinued sets also appreciates significantly over time.

Both share core collecting mechanics — grades, scarcity, limited prints — but differ significantly in structure:

• Pokemon cards: Guaranteed ongoing IP (Nintendo manages it long-term), global collector base spanning all ages, highest card grading volume of any TCG. CGC processes more Pokemon cards than any other category. Value is driven by card rarity, set, and condition — not player performance.
• Sports cards: Tied to real athlete performance — a career-ending injury can drop a card's value dramatically. Higher peaks for generational athlete rookies (Rookie Patch Autos from NBA/NFL), but more volatility and real-world risk.

Pokemon cards are lower-volatility collectibles; sports cards have higher ceiling potential but more exposure to external risk factors.

For first-time collectors, these categories have the lowest barrier to entry:

• Pokemon cards ($5–10 per pack): Low cost, wide availability, immediate community engagement through trading. Mega Evolution sets are a great starting point.
• Blind boxes ($10–20): A fun, low-risk way to start collecting figures without committing to expensive pieces. Great for discovering new series and characters.
• Marvel Legends ($25–35): Consistent quality, huge character roster, and a strong collector community. Easy to find and fun to display.
• Funko Pops ($10–15): Lowest barrier to entry for figure collecting with thousands of characters across every fandom imaginable.

Avoid graded vintage cards as a starting point — the authentication complexity and price premiums are better suited to experienced collectors. Start with what excites you, then build knowledge from there. Our story page covers how we started and what we learned.

For trading cards, we reference the three major professional grading services: PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), BGS (Beckett Grading Services), and CGC (Certified Guaranty Company).

• PSA: 1–10 scale. PSA 10 (Gem Mint) is the highest and most widely traded grade.
• BGS: 1–10 scale with sub-grades for centering, corners, edges, and surface. BGS 10 (Pristine) is extremely rare.
• CGC: The dominant grader for Pokemon cards specifically.

For figures, we use MIB (Mint in Box), MISB (Mint in Sealed Box), and open/displayed grading tiers. All listings include condition notes and photos.

Mint in Box (MIB) means the figure has never been removed from its original packaging and shows no visible damage to the box or contents. Mint in Sealed Box (MISB) is a stricter standard — the factory seal (shrink wrap or tape) is completely intact.

MIB allows for opened packaging as long as the figure and all accessories are pristine and the box is undamaged. For collector figures from Good Smile Company, Alter, or Kotobukiya, MIB and MISB condition commands the highest resale prices because the original packaging is part of the collectible experience.

When evaluating a figure, check these areas in order:

1. Box exterior for dents, tears, or water damage
2. Blister/window for yellowing or cracks
3. Figure base for scuffs or scratches
4. Paint applications on fine details like eyes and hair
5. Joints and attachments for stress marks or loose connections
6. All accessories for completeness

For pre-owned figures, request close-up photos of any questionable area. On scale figures by Alter or Good Smile Company, examine the face sculpt and paint especially — these are the most complex areas. If a seller will not provide additional photos, that is a red flag. Ask us and we will be happy to send more photos of any listed item.

Collectible values move based on three core forces:

• Scarcity: Lower print runs mean higher prices as supply dwindles post-sell-out.
• Demand: IP popularity, nostalgia cycles, and crossover appeal to mainstream audiences drive prices up (or down during IP decline).
• Condition: Graded items in top condition command exponential premiums — a PSA 10 Base Set Charizard is worth 10-20x a PSA 7 of the same card.

Vintage Pokemon cards from Base Set have appreciated 1000%+ over 20 years. Limited-run figures from Alter or Good Smile Company typically increase 30–100% after sell-out if the franchise stays popular. Values can also drop — heavily reprinted sets often fall below retail.

Limited production run items with strong IP backing tend to appreciate most reliably:

• Cards: 1st Edition and shadowless Base Set Pokemon cards have the strongest long-term track record. CGC-graded modern alternate art cards from sets like Mega Evolution also show consistent appreciation.
• Figures: Good Smile Company exclusive colorways, Wonder Festival event-limited figures, and high-sculpt scale figures from Alter tend to hold and gain value.
• Sealed product: Booster boxes and sealed figure sets from discontinued runs almost always outperform opened items of the same release.

Items tied to ongoing popular franchises — Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece — perform well as long as the IP stays culturally active.

Price for limited edition figures is driven by four factors:

1. Initial production quantity: Wonder Festival exclusives are often under 500 units. Lower runs mean faster secondary market appreciation.
2. Franchise popularity: Both at time of release and sustained cultural relevance beyond release.
3. Manufacturer reputation: Figures from Alter and Good Smile Company command premiums for consistent high sculpt quality.
4. Condition: MIB or MISB figures can be worth 2–3x the same figure opened and displayed.

Event-limited figures (sold only at Wonder Festival, Anime Expo, or similar conventions) command the highest premiums — secondary market prices can reach 3–5x retail within a year of release.

It is not a badge layered on top of your tier; it is the tier, so the higher earn rate applies automatically to every order. Unlike the ordinary tiers it has no qualification window and is never re-evaluated: once you are in, you are in for good.

There are exactly two ways in, and both close permanently one year after launch. The first is the pre-launch collector quiz — that cohort is already closed, and if you took the quiz and submitted your email, you are already in. The second is a spend threshold: reach it within your first year and the status is granted automatically, with nothing to claim. The current threshold is on the rewards page. Once the one-year window closes, Golden Paws is never reopened.
